Riverstown Senior Women scoop award

Riverstown Senior Women’s side were awarded the Fitzgerald’s Vienna Woods Sportstar Award for December and picked up their prize at an Award lunch in the hotel. Distinguished guests included the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, the County Mayor, Noel Spillane of the Evening Echo, Chris O’Mahony Chairman of the Cork Women’s and Schoolgirls League. Hotel owner and great friend of Riverstown FC, Michael Magnier, presented the award to team captain Jennifer White.

This Award is in recognition of the great strides being made in Women’s football in the area and of course culminating in the great victory in the Munster Junior Cup, which was sitting proudly on the table at the function.

We are Riverstown F.C. a Soccer Club in Glanmire, Co.Cork, Ireland We have an Academy for boys and girls aged 6 - 10 We have Schoolboys teams from Under 11 to Under 16 - A Schoolgirls Under 12 side and we have a Senior Women's Team Riverstown F.C. was formed in 1994 to facilitate and promote the development of Soccer in the Riverstown/Glanmire area, a growing suburb of Cork City. That objectivea continues to be the underlying focus in all the activities that the Club undertakes.
